Why regular tweeting is good for all writers
I’ve always been fascinated by social media sites. I’ve tried my hand at a fair few of them too, mostly as part of my research for various articles and books I’ve written for other clients.
But the one that has really stuck with me is Twitter. The reason I love it is because it is very quick and easy to add regular messages to it. I usually update my Twitter account every time I complete a writing job or perhaps grab a new one. It varies though, and I do sometimes tweet about other topics as well.

Get tweeting!
I liked Twitter right from the start, but it didn’t take long to realise that there are a lot of other writers on there as well. I’ve connected with a lot of other people since starting to ‘tweet’, and now I have several hundred followers too. I was quite chuffed as I watched those numbers going up!
But probably the best part about Twitter is that it has brought me a new – and regular – client. Regular weekly work too, so I’m delighted about that. And that is why I have decided to add this new category to my blog – it’s all about connecting with other writers and indeed (as I have found out) connecting with potential clients as well.
So think of this as my introductory post on this topic, and in this category. There will be more to come! If there is anything you would like to see me writing about on this subject, do let me know.
In the meantime, follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/allison_w and share in my daily writing life. See you there!

Original Articles. Constant-Content.
I’ve certainly found twitter a great way to make friends and drive people to my blog and writing…..which has then turned into writing jobs. It’s a brilliant way to stay connected with people, follow those of interest, and find new untapped sources that you hadn’t previously thought of.
Loving the new blog Allison
Thanks Geoff, glad you like it! It’s good to know that I’m not the only writer who has found Twitter to be very useful. It does lead you to a lot of other websites you wouldn’t have found otherwise.
