I agree Chris – taking breaks is definitely well worth it. Even popping downstairs for five minutes to make a cuppa is good. It took me a while but now I can easily tell when my attention is waning and when I need a break. I can then get the break I need and be back at my desk and focused again sooner than I ever thought was possible!

I have actually done something very similar for the whole of January. Nothing but writing every day.

My problem was that every day became like Groundhog Day.

Nevertheless, I promised myself I would do at least some writing every day and I was successful in that regard.

Good to see that you are taking breaks. As much as they eat into your time, I think they are necessary, especially as you are writing for the long haul. Even if I wrote only 1,000 words for the day, I was happy.

It seems as if Kindle could be the way to go this year – it will be interesting to see how it develops in the near future. I for one am hoping for good sales once I get my first couple of books on there! Fingers crossed…
