I thought it was about time I gave you an update on how my articles on Ezine Articles are getting on. I haven’t written any for a few days as we have family staying at the moment, but I wrote enough previously that I am actually still ahead on days versus articles!

Yes it’s true – after ten days of hoping my latest article would be accepted, not only was it published successfully, I also received an email confirming my new Platinum Author status.
Yes I am ahead of myself at the moment. I’m delighted that I have made a good start, but I am now hoping to up my article output to two per day. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but busy days can make it tricky at times.
Do you have a specialist subject yet? If you don’t you should think about grabbing one soon. Preferably two or even three, if you can…
And how am I doing? Well, I have made a good start. I’ve written two articles that are ready to submit to Ezine Articles. I say ready to submit because I have one article waiting to be accepted by them, and I have reached my limit of submissions at the moment.
Writing is a funny occupation – and for funny read strange! As an online freelance writer I write and sell articles to all kinds of buyers for all kinds of reasons. I don’t ask why they want certain items of content – it is my job simply to find out what they want and to deliver it.
Well it’s been an interesting day today. Apart from my regular work I now have a new notepad on my desk in readiness for this new article writing challenge that is starting on Saturday…

Hmm, interesting question isn’t it? It was one that I hadn’t thought of when I first started writing full time for the internet, and I never considered it as a possible source of income…
I received a very nice email from a fellow writer earlier on today that prompted me to write this post. They pointed out the undisputable fact that magazines generally pay a lot more than many online clients…
This thought occurred to me today as I was writing a batch of articles for a client. It was one of those jobs where you aren’t given any article titles to work from; they just give you a list of their best performing keywords and the rest is up to you. Sometimes that makes the job easier, and sometimes it doesn’t!
But it did make me think about my opinion of SEO…
I’ve had a nice couple of weeks thanks to Constant Content! My sales there had gone down a bit because I had been so busy with other writing work. That is, until about two weeks ago…
This just popped into my mind as I’m actually doing a bit of both today. I have a 170+ page book to write for a regular client, and about eight articles to write for another regular of mine.
So it got me thinking. Is one type of writing job better than the other, or is it best to do a bit of both?
