Happy New Year! How has 2010 started for you? Have you come back from the seasonal break to a fresh new batch of writing jobs or are you wondering what to do next?
Working from home seems like such a breeze doesn’t it? You can get up whenever you want to, spend the day in bed if you like, write whenever the mood takes you… and work whatever hours feel right.
… and what a difference it has made! Just thought I would share this little development with you as we all know how easy it is to get lazy when you work from home…
I was inspired to write this because as I am typing it I am looking out onto a lake filled with carp. I am sitting in an old converted Grade II listed water mill in Kent, England – and boy is it inspiring when it comes to writing!
You know that feeling of being sluggish? You’ve probably experienced it before – I know I have. And it can really play havoc with my writing too.
Now anyone who DOESN’T work from home is probably now thinking, ‘How on earth could there be? There’s no boss to dislike, no getting up at 7am to get ready and rush to catch a crowded train, oh and you’re probably doing a job you enjoy too. What disadvantages could there be about that?’
Hi all – this will be my last blog post for a few days as we are off to a trade fair for our eBay business, which we run alongside my writing. We went last year and we’re really looking forward to going again, and it will give me a few days off from writing.
Well there are lots of benefits of course, but there is one that has really come to mind in the last few days – and it’s also the reason why I haven’t been blogging for a short while…
